Yavapai County
has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, with the population up 30% since 1990. Some unincorporated regions of Yavapai County and the central area in the city of Prescott have been designated as an Enterprise Zone. In addition, parts of Chino Valley, Camp Verde and Prescott Valley have been designated as an Enterprise Zone.
Prescott Valley is the fastest growing non-metropolitan town and Yavapai County is the fastest growing county in the nation according to Woods & Pool in their 1995 Demographic Report. A 20-mile trade radius currently contains over 117,000 people and is expected to grow to over 128,000 by 2005.
More and more businesses and people are choosing to relocate to Prescott Valley. Increasing opportunities for jobs and business start-ups have contributed to the 166% population gain of Prescott Valley over the last decade.
Prescott Valley has a wide variety of skilled workers who enjoy our reasonable cost of living, security, a community environment, and family atmosphere. Existing businesses, start-ups, and relocating or expanding businesses are invited to take advantage of the resources available to them through the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation.
